Habits that have the biggest impact on long-term health
Updated: Aug 28
If there is one message I’d like you to ponder each day – it’s not necessarily more is better it’s this -great key takeaway = prioritisation matters!
When it comes to improving your health or anything really ask a better question & give your mind some direction i.e. the most useful question usually isn’t, “Is this supplement worth taking?” A better question might be “where does this fit within my hierarchy of health priorities.”
Clients often arrive with a bag full of supplements or they tell me they have a cupboard full...No doubt the right supplement at the right time at the right dose -yip quality is part of the equation but overlooking the health habits that can have a huge impact on long term health is not a clever plan. Your greatest return comes from getting the fundamentals right.
Exercise regularly
Build your diet around whole, minimally processed plant foods
Eat enough protein
Aim for around 30g of fibre each day
Prioritise quality sleep
Maintain healthy blood glucose through your daily lifestyle habits
Alongside those foundations – start where you are at and build and supplements can be a valuable part right timing + right supplement.
But no one thing in isolation will compensate for poor lifestyle habits, and firstly it’s aligning your thoughts, feelings and actions into each day – how do you want to show up? This can drive the behavioural change and you can build in your healthy routines in an easier way.
